Partake is a Black woman–owned small business started by Denise Woodard, a mom whose daughter suffered from severe food allergies as a young child. Frustrated that there weren’t a lot of snack options for her daughter, Denise took matters into her own hands and quit her corporate job to launch Partake.

Promising review: “I bought this to send to my daughter’s kindergarten class for her birthday. They have kids who have allergies, so this product was able to be enjoyed by all. The cookies are the perfect size for everyone to have a few. I tried them myself, and they were soft and tasted great (I tried snickerdoodle). There was enough for 18 kids, and I got a box back, so good value.” —Jeremy
